RYALL Structural Engineers provided full structural and civil engineering services for this unique contemporary extension in the Teign Valley, Devon. The architectural extension was carefully designed by the architect to sit hidden within the conservation area.
Surrounded by listed buildings, the extension fits comfortably alongside the once thatched main property. The use of charred larch, zinc roofing and black glazing reflects neighbouring agricultural outbuildings. Construction type is timber framing throughout.
The property extension features a roof light, solar tubes and an internal glass floor. This ensures not only the extension remains light but also the utility space below.
